South African music is broad in terms of how and when the music should be played, purpose to sing develops the where and when the song is to be released and performed, the different song for different people and for different occasion. Some South African artist writes music which is a cultural and traditional song, this song differs in languages since the country has 11 official languages it is up to the artist to promote his / her culture through music and the nice thing is that they are also free to write and sing about other languages.
 
Some artist write about the bad childhood due to wrong decisions that were made, in order to teach their fellow that a bad decision has consequences, and a wise music listener will dance and take the advice of the artist as well. Music artist have a lot of influence in community and they become role models, which they must act responsible, because they also play a role of teachers even though is informally.
 
Being a Music artist is not about writing and singing a song, it has a lot of accountability that comes with it and cannot be implemented when it suits the artist, responsibility must be there because the community is watching as well, not just listening only.
