Traffic protection cones are used when the road needs to be fixed or painted. They help to keep the control of the traffic so that repairs can be done to our roads. They mostly come in orange or orange and white striped. They come in different sizes but mostly are 28 inches in size. There are some that are called 4×4 cones. They are cheaper than the taller cones. They are made from plastic so that if bumped can not damage any thing. The material they are made with doesn’t stick together so it is easy to take them apart. The material used is impact resistant so if bumped will go back to its original shape, it can also withstand rough treatment.  
 
When an incident happens on a freeway these traffic protection cones are used to keep order on the freeways.   
Police and fire departments use them so that people can see there is an obstruction and drive slowly and not get in the way of what is happening. Traffic protection cones are used by these departments because they are easy to carry around are bright in color. In other words they don’t take up much space.   
 
There are also orange cones with heavy black bottoms so that they can’t be blown by wind. Which are normally standing by speeds humps. To make people aware of a hump in the road.    
 
Driving schools also use these cones to make parking spaces, to teach people how to park properly without the risk of damaging others cars or their cars. They also use traffic protection cones to give advanced driving courses. They make figure 8′s and different patterns for the drivers to follow to see how they would handle a specific vehicle.
